The Hotel is powered by an inverter and solar panels for full service during load shedding times. The rooms have lighting outside on their patio's as well as inside the rooms. There is bathroom lighting and strong wifi signal in the rooms when there is loadshedding. The breakfast room was charming with a lovely outdoor courtyard. Breakfast was delicious.

Each room at the White Shark is decorated in a mix between rustic and contemporary, including exposed brick walls and modern furniture. They all offer a private bathroom, and some come also with a spa bath. Breathtaking views, super spacious bedroom and bathroom (with double shower heads and a bath tub). Location was ideal for shark diving and away from the busier streets of Gansbaai, which made it more relaxing. Hosts were exceptional, providing great recommendations and service. Would definitely return.

Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. The lodge features a splash pool and uninterrupted views of Gansbaai harbour, Walker Bay and the Hottentots Holland Mountains. My stay at Saxon Lodge was fantastic! The location offers beautiful ocean views and is just a 5-minute drive from the shark cage diving launch site, making it perfect for anyone doing the diving. The lodge is cozy, well-maintained, and has a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were welcoming and provided excellent local recommendations. A perfect spot for anyone visiting Gansbaai—highly recommended!

Just a step away from the famous Hermanus Cliff Paths, Bamboo has elegantly decorated rooms with hand crafted bamboo furniture. All rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV, a seating area and a work desk. This is a peaceful, bright, airy, fairly spaceous yet comfy & cosy place to stay. It is immaculatley clean & nicely decorated. I was immediately made to feel at home & I did. I asked for gluten free bread & it was provided (& it didn't look like shop bought bread, so I assume they had to search for it). They really take care with food intolerances/allergies which is such a lovely respite from the usual ignorance I encounter. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice & lovely tea. The bar is well stocked with variuos beers, ciders, spirits & wines etc. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom big enough to party in, the shower cubicle could fit a baby elephant & low level ,dim LEDs came on when the bathroom door opened. They even provided european socket adapters without me asking, again, very thoughtful. It was still winter when I visited it must be great to be in the garden in warmer weather. This would be a great choice for large families or small groups of friends too.

All of the spacious guest bedrooms at 78on5th in Hermanus have a TV with movie channels, a hairdryer and an en suite bathroom. In addition, all rooms have a refrigerator, hot drink facilities and a microwave. Jose and Ton are perfect hosts. The accomodation was gorgeous (room 3) - lots of square footage, beautiful big private balcony, and the shared spaces are sweeeeeet. We really felt at home. Nice music in the livingroom with a cozy fireplace, a grand piano that will leave you speechless and the pool lounging area is fantastic. Nice touches with plants, home decor, etc. We had a car so location was perfect. Quiet area, beaches a few blocks away, 5 minutes to downtown and an amazing mountain behind us. Saw the baboons make their trek from mountain to ocean stopping at the trees right off our balcony. 🙂 Highly recommend this stay. Peaceful, private and yet social, clean, beautifully decorated, and the hosts are awesome. They had great suggestions and seemed to know what interested us from our discussions. Great stay!
