Location, location, what a spot! If you are looking to be away from the city, on the water and having access to a restaurant on site, this is the place to go. There are several other restaurants near by but will need to drive. Service is top notch, they have though of every details.

The spacious Honeymoon Suite has panoramic views of the ocean and the lagoon. roomy, clean and amazing view. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is fantastic.

Accommodation comes with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a coffee maker. Some suites have a furnished patio, while others have a furnished balcony. Attention: you may not want to leave your room! The sea breeze room, where I stayed for two nights, is mind blowing. The view actually looks better in real life, and the balcony is very big. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing, and the staff was also very nice. The breakfast in the morning was very good, and the fruit tray was impressive ! There are a couple of good restaurants at a walking distance (Salinas, which can be reached by walking on the beach, and Joplins Steak Bar - not the nicest walk near the road but there is a pedestrian route and it’s only 6 minutes away. Amazing steak!). I have stayed in many nice hotels, but the experience of overlooking directly the beach from your bed is incredible. The mini bar was full of drinks and snacks, and the honesty system was very appreciated. The room was very clean and the overall experience was safe and beautiful.

We had an exceptional experience during our stay and really appreciated the thoughtful gestures and the special attention of the staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and very filling. The room was far away from others such that I could work and the room had everything you could need: kettle, microwave, mini fridge and an array of different cutlery if you want to braai (which they provide as well). It was lovely sitting in the garden, watching the lagoon and listening to the birds.

A seating area with a flat-screen satellite TV is in Dolphin’s well-appointed rooms. It features wooden ceilings and tiled floors. Each has a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. We were upgraded to the Ocean View rooms, which provided a view of the beach and ocean that can only be described in two words, "stunningly beautiful". The rooms were great and the breakfast choices were tantalizing.

This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool.

The rooms at Turbine Hotel & Spa are elegantly decorated with light fabrics and parquet floors. The suites have a satellite LCD TV and extra long beds. What an incredible decoration. The property is so pretty with all the turbines from the days the hotel was a power station, mixed with modern paintings and what not. Really adds to the atmosphere. It's connected to a gastropub which was very convenient in the evening because we were tired and didn't even have to leave the property to have a nice burger and beers(plus live music). The breakfast is amazing, I got myself a delicious eggs benedict with smoked salmon. There was loadshedding but the hotel honors its past and has a generator so we were not left in the dark. Finally, loved the vibe in Thesen Island, the canals, the calm streets, etc.

Falcons View Manor is 1 km from Knysna Harbour, where you can rent a boat and explore the Knysna National Lakes Area. The hotel is 5 km from Simola Golf Club, which was designed by the great Jack Nicklaus. The Manor House is stunning and a lovely place to stay. Sue and Danelle were very warm and welcoming, the rooms are very spacious and classy and the view over Knysna is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner was exceptional. A we'll managed venue and although it was very brief, we were always made to feel very welcome and we really enjoyed our short stay.
