Great location that was close to the beach and to the main shops.

Early flight so arrived at the hotel about 11am - they provided a nice space to relax and change while waiting for the room.

This hotel is in a good location if you don't plan on using a car but just going to the beach and walking around the area. There is a military museum right next to the hotel as well as lots of shops and cafes. The room we had was spacious and comfortable with a great selection of TV channels, of course if you're staying in a hotel room although I don't think anyone would stay in a room when in Hawaii. Even though we were on a lower floor and the room faced the street we didn't hear too much noise. The room was clean and had everything you needed to cook basic meals, a small kitchen with everything you need. The pool is ok but you have to be careful if you're not a swimmer as one part is shallow and then you go straight into the deeper part. The gym is small but has everything you need to stay in shape. You also have a barbecue area which I highly recommend as you can have a barbecue with your family and enjoy the view of the park. The hotel staff are excellent and all praise for them. If all hotels had such smiling and helpful staff, no hotel guest would ever be dissatisfied with the service. They deserve all the praise and a pay raise.

Much better than many 4 stars we've been with. Pricey, but this is Hawaii :)

Located 1 block from Waikiki Beach, Queen Kapiolani Hotel features panoramic views of Diamond Head from the outdoor pool and sun terrace. Spacious rooms include a 49-inch flat-screen TV and a refrigerator. With my wife we enjoyed the place since it was close to the sea and we had the opportunity to relax for few days in such a lovely area.

Room was a little noisy due to loud music coming from vehicles at night which is no fault of the hotel. Great access to surf beach
