Surrounded by the Zavoi Park, 300 metres from the centre of Ramnicu Valcea, Grand Hotel Sofianu hosts an art museum with works of 500 representative Romanian plastic artists. It offers modern rooms with air-conditioning and free WiFi. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was excellent. We were given a very spacious and clean room with a beautiful view of the local park. It’s been an absolute pleasure to see lots of art work inside and out of the room.

Ramnicu Valcea’s boutique Simfonia Boutique Hotel is located 500 metres from the centre of town and offers a fitness room, spa area, sauna and steam bath. Also on site are a gourmet restaurant serving international and regional dishes, and a roof-top terrace with views over the city. Well maintained hotel. We thought it was renovated recently but the staff told me that it was 13 years old and only the exterior is renovated once and the beds were changed recently. All rooms and corridor are well maintained. Perfectly clean. Rooms are decorated in classic French style with different colour themes and wallpaper design. You can tell the management has done a good job. Every staff is helpful and accommodative. Breakfast is excellent. Coffee is made to order. There is always someone available to help the guests. Free parking. Rooftop restaurant is great.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner and breakfast. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay. We hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

What a beautiful hotel!! 😍 Everything is bright new and made with excellent material and good taste. We are frequent travellers and we know hotels, this one is between our Best. The spa is great, with everything you may need for a great start over. The luxury rooms are perfect taste and cleanliness. The restaurant is like a 3 ⭐ Michelin, we spent a lovely night in a stunning ambiance. We would like to thank the staff for this beautiful stay. Surely one of the best hotels in Rumanía. All the best.
