Our room was very comfortable, clean, quiet and dark for sleeping. Our Host Joâo was very helpful with things to see and restaurants. He recommended Jalmon Jalmon which was very close and we can recommend the pork cheeks, runner beans and cod croquets. The best food we've had in Portugal so far. It is January and we found the town was not full of visitors which we enjoyed. We actually chose to have breakfast in and it was a good variety of cereal, bread, cheese and cold cuts, good coffee and a pastel de nata to finish.

Surrounded by lush gardens only 200 metres from the Alcobaça Monastery, this elegant boutique hotel is situated in a historic mansion. It features a Spa and Wellness Centre and free Wi-Fi in public areas. This may have been one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Beautiful house. Beautiful room and very comfortable bed. And the breakfast was amazing! Fresh fruit, eggs, pastries and fresh juice.

All the thematic rooms are inspired by the region and have a large balcony and nice views to the surrouding área. Villas in turn are a new tipology (inaugurated in 2023) specially designed for families and long turn stays. Villas are pet friendly and have a terrace with a relaxing area. Loved the thoughtful design touches and the attention to detail. The mattress was quite comfortable and the bedding high-quality. The shower was wonderful: large, clean, good water pressure, and high-quality shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast room was large, and the selection of foods was quite nice. This is a great location for people visiting the Monestary at Alcobaça who prefer to stay a little ways outside of town.

It was very rainy weather and it was so nice having a central location to come and go from. We had just come from a bad experience at an AirBNB and we were overjoyed when we walked into the hotel. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant was very good. I even enjoyed strolling the mall right next door when the rain was to much to go outside - not something I normally do when in vacay to Europe but I enjoyed it and bought some lovely clothes. We loved our stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff that even recommended us a very nice restaurant and booked it for us. Great service. Nice spacious room, good breakfast. They have a brewery onsite too.
