Quinta das Lágrimas has a golf driving range and a 9-hole course. First, the staff is marvelous. We arrived early and were handled expertly, so we had a productive and fun day on the university campus and walking in the city. The hotel and grounds are exceptionally beautiful and dinner in the Gastropub was just what we wanted.

The ground floor room was more than adequate for a 2 night stay, Property right in the heart of this beautiful town, but be aware of the hills! I can only recommend you stay here if you are visiting Coimbra.

With lift accessible to all floors/rooms, each room offers free WiFi, flat-screen cable TV, desk and private bathroom with hairdryer. The hotel is very convenient for exploring the city - it is located close to all the sights, but not in the thick of the city noise (although during the student holidays it seems there is nowhere to hide from it - we were lucky, there were no holidays and we slept peacefully with the window open). The parking lot recommended by the hotel is very convenient, two or three minutes' walk away on the same street. (The hotel offers a special price for parking). Upon arrival, you can safely turn right to the hotel onto the street, which seems to be a pedestrian street, but in fact it is not - right next to the hotel doors there is a parking space for unloading luggage).

Free on-site parking is available. The hotel is located in a fabulous location - by the river with a view of the mountains. The hotel rooms were classic, the same as in most other places, but the greatest value of the rooms is that they have their own balconies where you can enjoy wine and the sounds of nature and the river in the evening. Very delicious food in the restaurant, large portions. We were also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast options. I would definitely like to come back here someday.

The room was clean and the view it was wonderful. The beds were comfortable.
