There is a spa in the garden that is open for hotel guest use. The attached restaurant is amazing, with lovely log fires to sit around and a delicious menu. This was our second time staying at the Cardrona, and we would definitely return again in the future.

Akaroa Criterion Motel is situated opposite Children’s Bay. It is a 16-minute walk from Mt Vernon Akaroa. Location was perfect, and the view from the room was beautiful! Very comfortable room, got a great rest!

Wanaka Luxury Apartments are situated only 600 metres from the shores of Lake Wanaka. The ski fields at Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Ski Area are just 35 minutes’ drive away. The room was very pretty and very comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor space with the hot tub and fireplace one evening since the weather was so pleasant. The walk into town takes about 10 minutes but it's a lovely walk and the neighborhood is beautiful with many nice homes and yards.

The staff were professional and caring. The rooms were part of refurbished stables and in keeping with the period. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. A very pleasantly unique experience. The 4 course dinner in the castle was relaxed and delicious. A great experience
