Matuka Lodge has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Twizel.

Fitted with a patio, the units offer air conditioning and feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. This Lodge is a true gem! You can tell that the host put love in every detail :) I would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a trough and trough luxuries experience!

The tour desk can book helicopter and ski plane flights for those seeking an adventure. You can relax in the guest lounge area which offers a warming fireplace and lovely views from the deck. A communal dining area can be found on site. Loved the communal space with a view. Our room also had an amazing view. The staff was very friendly.

Set within the Burkes Pass gateway to Mackenzie Country, Burkes Pass Country Motels is centrally located for skiing at Mt Dobson and Roundhill and day trips to Mt Cook. Guests enjoy free WiFi and views of the surrounding Rollesby Range and Mt Burgess. We loved the spacious apartment/motel rooms, everything was clean and in good shape, kitchen had everything we needed. Place is probably great to see the stars as well and just a short driving distance from Lake Tekapo. Everyone there was lovely and accommodating and we even got to hand feed the pet lambs and sheep that lived on the property and had a great chat. The dogs and cat were friendly and cuddly as well. For everyone who wants to stay in the Lake Tekapo area and loves animals this is a unique and great value for money stay!

Three Rivers Lodge is located off the southern banks of Lake Tekapo, in the shadow of New Zealand’s picturesque Southern Alps. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the lake and surrounding mountains. I loved the location across from the lake. It quiet with unobstructed views. Our host gave us tips on where to go. We appreciated that. The room was cozy and had everything we needed. There was nothing lacking.

Peppers Bluewater Resort is a 4.5-star hotel close to the shores of Lake Tekapo. This resort offers luxury accommodation, great views and is ideally positioned for exploring the Mackenzie Basin and Southern Alps. It is a 10-minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd. I was surprised by the staff’s offer of getting free passes to Lake Tekapo pools. I was not informed that I will be given free passes and I should have save almost $150 for the all day pass in the pools. Maybe next time I will check with the staff before paying for the Lake Tekapo pools.
