Located in a quiet oceanfront area on the island of Averøy, this former Bacalao (salt modified and dried cod) factory has been restored into a rustic guesthouse. The brightly decorated studio apartments tell you the ancient history of the building. The rooms come with views of the Atlantic Ocean from French balconies. Kristiansund town center is 10km away. The Atlantic Ocean Road is 25km away. Such a beautiful little hotel with the most lovely staff. We stayed in the Studio Apartment with Sea View and WOW! The view was absolutely breathtaking! We also had dinner at the hotel and it ended up being one of the best meals we had during our time in Norway. I did notice a few reviews mention the steep stairs, but honestly, that’s just part of the charm when staying in a historic building in Europe. It didn’t bother us at all and added to the authentic feel of the place.

Vast buffet breakfast, it would probably take a month's stay to try every item! Good view out to the harbour. We had dinner in the hotel which was super, really appreciated the chef making up a vegetarian starter as there was none on the menu.
