Breakfast in the Planters was quiet and staff were great. View from balcony watching sunset spectacular. Location was really good, and easy access to attractions in town. A regal grand old very well kept Hotel.

The building is simply amazing, and historic chinese-style building repurposed perfectly for a luxury stay. The staff was insanely kind and well-prepared, they went above and beyond to accomodate our needs, including the dietary ones (gluten allergy). Breakfast was also amazing, it is an a-la-carte menu with lots of tasty and abundant options. The room (Opium) was also beautiful, with lots of amenities like a great bathroom, great bathtub, nice fridge (with complementary tea and desserts each night!), and a big comfortable bed. What can I say, it is more expensive than usual accomodations in Malaysia, but a very good value for your money. Treat yourself. It is also located in the perfect center of the old town.

The room was beautiful, very comfortable beds and the bathroom with 2 showers was amazing! Also the breakfast was delicious and despite the small size of the pool we enjoyed in the water every afternoon. The location is good and the staff very friendly.
