Casa Don Diego features air-conditioning and private bathrooms in every guest room. All rooms feature a balcony or terrace. The room was decorated to perfection with lots of charm and character, and plenty of space to spread out. My son loved swinging on the hammock in the middle of the room. The pool was just a few steps from our room and a beautiful little oasis surrounded by flowering trees. Breakfast was delicious and included local honey.

Wonderful quiet hotel, excellent, tasty and very fresh breakfast served by very nice staff. Beautiful very clean beach with more than enough shadow. Comfy places on the beach. The rooms are highly original in design and layout. We were on the top floor and felt like in a tree house. Very nice and helpful staff with a proactive attitude. Seem to enjoy their jobs.

I had stayed at Viceroy hotels in the US before and always had a good experience, so I was happy to find this one with only 40 or so rooms and the type of setting I was seeking. The care the staff took was unparalleled to any other experience we’ve had. They looked after us, brought us treats, knew our preferences and were always so accommodating. The massage was the best we ever experienced. The vibe of the common areas is low key; no loud music or obnoxious behavior, the food was excellent. The suites are so different from your average resort, the bed was huge and comfortable, each room has an outdoor shower and plunge pool. The rain head showers were a delight with excellent pressure. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place (obviously). If you’re seeking an out-of-the-ordinary adult experience to relax and be pampered, this is the place.

Featuring Mexican-style décor, Hotel Casa Colibri is a sea-front boutique hotel located in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The city's famous 5th avenue, world-known for its restaurants, bars, discotheques and shopping areas are only one block away. We spent 10 days in this beautiful place. Our rating is 10 out of 10. We are already back to our usual snowy Canadian routine, but the feeling of an amazing vacation at Casa Calabri is still with us. The staff was very helpful, and we always felt that any question would be solved right away. The rooms were cleaned every day, and there was always a feeling of freshness, cleanliness, and a nice smell. Each room has a hammock, and we loved relaxing there in the shade during the strong sun, looking at the tall green jungle trees. We are big fans of the rustic, handmade style in Casa Calabri. Every detail in the hotel catches your attention and looks like it was made especially for this place. The hotel restaurant was wonderful. Bravo to the chefs — it was one of the most delicious places we have ever eaten at! The bartenders also made excellent cocktails, bravo to them too! The waiters worked very hard to make our stay comfortable and were always very attentive and friendly. The restaurant prices seemed similar to most places — not more and not less. In any case, we highly recommend this hotel — you will definitely fall in love with it!
