Recently renovated. Wifi works well. Late in the evening the main gate is locked and you get a key to open it. There's a cafeteria and restaurant within the hotel courtyard. Reception staff is super nice and helpful - Belem in particular. Across the street from the hotel there is a nice supermarket and lovely French bistrot. Plenty of shops around. I felt very safe in that neighborhood. To the waterfront it's a 10 min walk.

Staff was were nice and super-friendly. The hotel restaurant by the sea side is simply amazing. Excellent food and a superb scenery. This is also where you have breakfast. I saw some reviews with people complaing it's not a breakfast buffet but "just" seven items that you select from the menu. Well, for me it was plenty, I managed to consume seven really tasty items and had enough for the entire day.

The service 100% good, Amanda and Mathis were the best hosts! Also, the French breakfast was delicious.
