Featuring impressive ocean views and an outdoor swimming pool, Villa Atulya at Ocean's edge is set at the seafront in South Mirissa. The building is an exclusive villa and features colourful rooms with antique furnishings and free Wi-Fi. We had 4 rooms booked and had the entire villa to ourselves and the villa staff were very accommodating - even our very late arrival (after 12 midnight) . Location is fantastic- right on the beach- rocky but you can walk along the rocks to sandy stretches . The Villa is walkable to attractions in Mirissa- including coconut tree hill and lovely little coves where we snorkelled with sea turtles. Short tuktuk ride to the main beach restaurant/ Bar strip which is lively during sunset/ evening.

Set in the south of Sri Lanka just a 45-minute drive from Galle City, Handagedara Resort & Spa is also a 1.5-hour drive from the beautiful Sinharaja Rainforest. Bandaranaike International Airport is 3 hours away by car. The pool was very clean and beautiful, well maintained. I spend the night time, there was nobody, so peaceful and quiet. I got a can of beer from the bar, and it was heavenly time! The breakfast buffet (included) offer both local and western foods; papaya juice was so delicious, all food was good, a lot of fruits we had, even they serve omelet freshly cooked by request. The room in the main hotel was very stylish and clean and spacious. We wanted extend our stay, but the family room was not available for the next day, but they offered us their "villa" next to the hotel for the same price. The villa had 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, spacious dining/living area and a kitchen. The guy who workd the villa kept the garden always tidy and beautiful, and very willing to help us. We all enjoyed the spacious "detached single house villa" like an extra bonus! All stuffs were super attentive and helpful. We loved the hotel/villa so much that we extended our stay from 2 days to 4 days! Thank you so much all stuffs working there! You guys made our experience in Mirissa so wonderful!
