The place is also a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Kandy town but not too far away from anything. The staff are all amazing and went out of their way to help us which made us feel like staying with family ….we can’t wait to return again and stay at this magical place. Austin is available with his TukTuk to run you into town or take you to all the best sights in town, which I highly recommend. The property is a 15-minute drive from the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. Kandy railway and bus stations are about 1 km away, while The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is 40 km away. It is 800 metres away from Kandyan Cultural Centre and 5 km from the Tea Museum. We had two rooms. In one room, we had a 4 year old. There was no charge for him, but an extra bed was provided. Rooms were super clean. Very nice upgraded bathrooms. The host was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good...standard fare with a nice fruit plate. The location was great. We walked to town along the lake. For families, there is a big playground right at the bottom of the hill, on the way to the lake and town.
