Before travelling to Sri Lanka, and before booking my stay with Glenn and Fiona ( and mustn't forget Sita- without whom the stay would would not have been the same), I googled reviews 27 Spathodea's and all were raving how perfect this homestay was. They were all spot on. Glenn and Fiona's home is absolutely beautiful, and even though they were out of the country, Glenn in particular bent over backwards to keep in contact with me, both before and during our stay, to ensure everything was in place, He advised us on so many things that as visitors, we may may have over looked or been unaware of. Sita, their on-site manager was the same, smiling, generous with her time, always amenable to every request. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She even went out of her way to take us to set us up with sim cards, and show us nearest banks etc. She was kindness itself. Her breakfasts and evening meals were as good as any restaurant The location, though close to transport, and shops, was peaceful and quiet. I would 100% recommend this gem of a place to any fellow traveller. The hosts are kind, caring, generous and thoughtful. What more could you want.

The gym is small but enough to have a good workout. The staff are always attentive especially the room attendants. The room is comfy and has everything you need.

We had the most amazing apartment with two balconies, separate indoor seating area. Stunning bedroom. The restaurant serving Japanese food to the highest standard.
