Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style. It features a French restaurant and stylish bars, and free WiFi is offered throughout. Its entrance is right next to the Marunouchi South Exit of Tokyo Station. The hotel staff, whether at the front desk or in the restaurant, are very considerate and attentive. I will definitely stay more days when my next stay in Tokyo,

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath.

There is a bath for each gender on site and both the female and male baths offer a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. The location is incredible in a very walkable neighborhood. Walking distance to Senso-ji. The staff is very kind. The room is simple but nice with tatamis on the floor.

Opened in August 2014 after a thorough renovation, Hotel Ryumeikan Ochanomizu Honten has been offering heartfelt hospitality for more than a century. Its sophisticated guest rooms feature modern facilities and traditional Japanese aesthetics. It is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Shin-Ochanomizu Subway Station. The size of the room is amazing for Tokyo. From the tetami mats to the super bathroom, it makes you feel like you are visiting a traditional Ryokan. The front desk is super helpful. They were able to help arrange last minute restaurant reservations. A 10 all round. Location is super. Not crowded, loads of restaurant options and only 15 minutes walk to Akihabara, Imperial Palace

A lounge is reserved exclusively for suite room guests to enjoy a light meal service and terrace seating. The elegant interior is designed with respect to culture and tradition suitable for being left to future generations. In the middle of Tokyo, feel the breath of each season as you experience a moment of relaxation. Superb Japanese hotel with premium facilities and premium service. Everybody was very welcoming - they also changed and proposed another room as per our request (we wanted non smoking instead of smoking). SPA is very good. Location is really good in order to understand that Tokyo is not only crowded city, but has other really nice neighbourhoods with really good restaurants. Metro is not faw away and all main districts are reachable easily. Concierges do their job perfectly. We have ordered babysitting service for our kid and it was perfectly executed.

Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa is a 2-minute walk from Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station is a 5-minute walk away. The hotel offers Japanese-style accommodation with a free private bath and free internet. This ryokan is located near Nakamise Shopping Street and the Asakusa temple. Still quiet at night. Super friendly and helpful staff and the private bath is the cherry on top ;) Loved the rooms and we slept really well on the futons. We had such a great stay and will definitely come again! Thank you so much :)

Open from December 2015, Hotel Risveglio Akasaka is located just a 2-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station on the Marunouchi Line. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property and there is a restaurant on-site. The beds were so comfortable we didn’t wake up in the morning 😂 I also blame jet lag but really these beds were amazing. Really cute hotel, super well located next to one of the main stations with few different lines. Really nice at night with restaurant and bars. The people at the reception didn’t speak English but the had an amazing translator tool, like a big screen that record what you say. Also in front of 7/11, if you know you know
