Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! I'd have stayed longer only it was booked out. This guest house is lovely, the staff were super and it was so homely. I really liked the atmosphere of this place, highly recommend

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. Extremely convenient, literally just across the road from the ferry pier and not hard to find at all. Room was very clean and comfortable. Our host did not speak English, but was able to attend to all our needs without issue. Was definitely a memorable experience staying in a traditional Japanese room on Miyajima. Would highly recommend!

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. Miyajima is beautiful, one of the most amazing places in the world and Sakuraya enhances the experience to the maximum. The room has plenty of space, having the first real washitsu in which I stayed while being in Japan. Miyajima is not a place in which residing is easy (the Island is still little), so the price is more than considered. English is not a problem as well. The staff was extremely helpful - my girlfriend was sick, but they provided me with a thermometer and some medicines, such that the trip wasnt completely ruined. If you want to stay in Miyajima, this is it.

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. The best way to experience Japan. We highly recommend the place. Miyajima at night is much better without thousands of turists and the dinner served by the hotel it is a masterpiece of colors and tastes.
