The location is great, just in the center of Kanazawa and right around the castle. The room was big for japanese standards and had everything one needs. The hotel even offers free snacks and drinks in the afternoons.

The international staff were friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. We particularly liked the genuine British atmosphere and the delicious home-made food items, including Yorkshire pudding, haggis and black pudding. Great bedroom and toilet interiors and mountain view! The garden is also pleasant and spacious.

Loved this hotel, very Agatha Christie.Quality establishment when there's a signed Miro print in the room.
The food was exceptional as we're the staff. The concierge went out of his way to organize a taxi for a Temple I wanted to see.

Takashi and family run a wonderful hotel, everybody was so polite and friendly. Each room is slightly different, I stayed in Asuka which had a classic nautical vibe which I loved. Great views and a delightful outdoor shower/bath. The two spas onsite were a lovely experience at the end of the day. Oh and the breakfast was amazing!

The room (river view) was incredibly beautiful, comfortable and with stunning views. Sleeping on the tatami floor was lovely. The public bath is really impressive, don't skip it! We also took a bath in the private onsen, very nice. The common areas are really big, beautiful and with lovely views of the river. Overall an amazing building with great value for money.

Great Value for money and location. Right next to ask the designer shops and a stone's throw away from the samurai district and the castle and gardens.
We were amazed at the location for the price.
Good amount of freebies necessities.

Fantastic boutique hotel in Karuizawa. Free parking. Family room was so big - we loved the size, the decoration, the cleanliness. The family rooms have DVD players. There are also record players you can take to the room - this was a great experience for our kids, who had never seen records before. Just a short drive away is a bunch of lovely restaurants/shops and a fancy onsen. This hotel is obviously a labour of love.
