Beautiful property on top of the hill, decorated with traditional artefacts (maybe too many of them!), 25 minutes walk downhill to the wonderful center of Spécs. Very comfortable room and bed. Friendly receptionist who spoke English, as Hungarian remains a beautiful mystery to me! He booked us a table at the hotel restaurant. The waiters hardly spoke English, but one of them went well beyond duty and patience (he spoke a bit of Portuguese and was delighted to practise his skills with us!) to help choose something to respect my husband's food intolerances (lactose and paprika, which is quite a feat for a Hungarian kitchen to accommodate!). It was one of the best meals we had during our long road trip across Europe (vegetarians abstain! Game and wine sauces accompanied with local wines). Breakfast was plentiful, included in the price of the room. Safe parking within the property.

We had the upstairs suite which was spacious (enormous by hotel standards) with a large adjoining private balcony. The delicious breakfast was served in the unique underground room which had a traditional regal atmosphere. Beautiful.

The staff was more than helpful (one of the most elegant and good manners person I ever met worked at the reception), the rooms are spacious and clean, parking is a huge help, breakfast was decent (but nothing to complain about the quality). It has an elevator (despite the fact that it is one floor building).

We liked the game room with darts and pool 🎱. The rooms are pretty nice, and ours was with a balcony. Staff is nice and ready to help. Location close to the city center.

This was our third visit to this hotel, and I must say we were again very pleased and satisfied. We booked a suite again (not a regular room), and it met our expectations. The suite 'living area' is separated from the 'sleeping area' with a wall, so you can sit on a corner sofa and watch TV, and you won't disturb someone who decided to sleep. In the end, I must say that they fulfill our wish and give us bed for babies. For free, of course 😊.

Residence Hotel Balaton is located in quiet surroundings, featuring a private beach with a snack and cocktail bar only 150 metres away and its spa area. Free WiFi access is available in all areas.

Great hotel and position. Food was really diverse and delicious. Special praise for reception staff. A young man who is always ready to help us! The lake offers recreation and lot of activities.

This hotel is located right at the lakeside, perfect! My room had a fantastic view from the balcony to the lake. Room and amenities were kept very clean. Loved the dinner and breakfast buffets.
