Built in 1909 by a Viennese entrepreneur Anton Urm, this hotel has hosted numerous aristocratic guests, including the Austrian-Hungarian emperor Franz Joseph. It was rebuilt almost 80 years later, with attention to its original design and preserving a romantic atmosphere. Amazing location with a beautiful view onto the ocean. The meal was fantastic and really worth the trip!

Completely renovated in 2020 and housed in an Austro-Hungarian villa dating back to 1886, this 5-star hotel is situated amid a well-groomed St. Jacob Park in the centre of Opatija. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property and the Slatina Beach is just 100 metres away. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel itself was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we felt cared for. From the friendly reception to the attentive service throughout our stay, they made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely be returning!

Featuring a wellness & spa centre, the newly renovated Hotel Bellevue - by Liburnia Hotels & Villas is housed in a beautiful Empire-style building, as one of the oldest hotel it is considered a local landmark. Ideally set along the main street facing the sea, it offers free Wi-Fi and an à-la-carte restaurant. Great location, staff helpful and friendly. Room was large & loved the towel warmer in the bathroom. Large selections for breakfast. Our room balcony was a lovely relaxing spot to enjoy the view.
