The whole thing was a special experience.

Combining modern and traditional elements, its accommodation provides Aegean Sea views. Beautiful hotel in beautiful building in beautiful Monemvassia. Gorgeous view from our bedroom window overlooking the town and sea. Clean room and bathroom with all amenities we needed. Breakfast was delicious with a nice selection including traditional Greek dishes.

Set in a mid-19th-century neoclassical house right opposite Kapodistrias Square, the boutique hotel Nafsimedon offers a small garden with palm trees overlooking Kolokotronis Park.

The guest rooms at Nafsimedon, many done in shades of apricot and peach, have chandeliers, marble-topped tables, old paintings and good-size bathrooms and beds with firm mattresses. Everything was great - the location, the staff friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is old and beautiful, especially the small garden where you have breakfast. It was clean and spacious, comfortable bed with a firm matrass (just how we like it). Checking in and out was smooth, and the breakfast is simple but somehow sufficient.

Beautifully restored Pension Dafni is located in Nafplio’s Old Town, underneath Palamidi Fortress, 200 metres from Arvanitia Beach. It has a snack bar and offers tastefully decorated rooms with bright-coloured walls. Excellent location. Great Staff, very friendly and helpful. Yummy breakfast. Great room. It was all in all a great choice.

Occupying a traditional stone mansion with wonderful views of the surrounding area, Bacchus is a charming and luxurious pension 3 km from Ancient Olympia.

Bacchus' 6 rooms are stylishly decorated. They come with air conditioning, balcony and fridge. Perfect view from the room and from the restaurant. Calm, quiet area, very friendly staff and nice swimming pool. Great breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.

Former residence of a 19th century mayor of Nafplion, Ilion is situated in the centre of the Old Town, overlooking Syntagma Square. It features classical furnishings and rooms with different themes. A hammam is available. Everything, the room was outcanting, fully conditioned, the bed was the best. Like a palace. Wonderful breakfast, very big one. There is free parking all around the place

Hotel Europa Olympia is built on the top of Drouvas Hill in Ancient Olympia. It offers a 24-hour front desk, 3 bars (two indoors and one pool bar) and a Greek restaurant and a pool-side tavern, free parking and free Wi-Fi. (Very) Spacious room. Helpful staff (Marki took care of us). Great spread in breakfast. But the highlight of our trip was our dinner at their restaurant Taverna. It overlooks a gorgeous valley. We took an appetiser and two main dishes including the special for the day - our compliments to the chef. Each dish was delicious. Portion is massive. There were complimentary platters both as starters and dessert which we enjoyed too. We had an absolutely marvellous dinner!
