The hotel is housed in a listed 18th century Georgian townhouse which means we do not have a lift. We recommend guests who struggle with stairs consider a hotel with lift access. Loved pretty much everything about this small hotel. The location was within walking distance of everything, friendly staff and nice sized rooms with all the amenities you'd need. Very comfy beds as well.

Situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre, Malt House Apartments are only 2 minutes’ walk to the west end of Princes Street. The modern apartments have been converted from a whisky-bond building and come fully equipped with a kitchen, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. It was very nice, well cleaned. The flat was spacy and top modern. Everything was great. We will certainly recommend this apartment to friends who are going ti Edinburgh.

I just really liked the vibe of the room, and their breakfast was in the next door restaurant, which was so much better than most hotel breakfasts.

It is located in a very quiet neighborhood, only 1 mile away from the castle and Princess Str. A bus station is less than two minutes walk from the hotel. They serve a fantastic cooked breakfast. They give you the option to choose from five different plates. The owners - Kevin and Susan - make you feel at home. You go there as a guest, and you leave as a friend.

Shops and restaurants on Princess Street, Calton Hill, Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile and EICC are all within walking distance. Stunning - Everything was perfect. The staff were attentive but not too attentive that they were obvious. Rooms were clean , very cosy , comfortable beds, great selection of toiletries. Tea, coffee , fresh milk , water and cookies daily. Wonderful selection for breakfast. Amazing food for lunch and dinner. 24 hour bar for residents. I fell in love with this hotel and cannot wait for a reason to return . We were also there for a wedding , and the hotel rooms used for the wedding were perfect as well. Edinburgh Festival Theatre is 2.2 km from the guest house. Shirley was excellent so helpful and knowledgeable about Edinburgh. Snacks in the room were fantastic. Would definitely stay there again .
