The seafront Ellan Vannin Hotel overlooks Douglas Bay and Douglas Beach. The hotel is 1 minutes’ walk from the beach and within 5 minutes’ walk of the ferry terminal and bus station. The main shops, cafes and restaurants are 2 minutes’ walk away. Excellent location. Friendly and very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable accommodation.

On Queens Promenade in Douglas, Edelweiss Guest House is a long-established guest house with sea views. It is only a 5-minute walk from the Manx Electric Railway and Horse Tram Terminus.

All rooms include a private bathroom, TV with DVD player, free WiFi and some come with a sea view. There is a lift to all floors which is ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs. Great location, we paid extra for a seaview room and it was lovely. Really warm welcome and easy check-in. Lovely big room with everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, we slept very well after a busy day travelling around the island. We paid for breakfast and it was well worth it, plenty to choose from. The Edelweiss is not the most modern place and is in need of a few improvements but it is excellent value for money and we would definitely book to stay again in the future.
