Recently restored boutique hotel from 1929, located on the beachfront in Bakio. Exquisite architecture with attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere. Our hotel has two pleasant terraces, one with sea views and the other sheltered by our ancient trees, where guests can rest and relax peacefully. Beach is a stones throw away, great location and the room is gorgeous. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful.

The air-conditioned rooms at the The Artist Grand Hotel of Art feature carpeted floors and a private bathroom with bathtubs, bathrobe and slippers. Each room has free WiFi, USB connection and a 40" flat-screen TV with international satellite channels, HDMI. I wasn’t particularly thrilled with our stay. We arrived, were greeted with faultless service, and were in our room resting within minutes. A little chaos or a delayed check-in would have added some much-needed excitement. The room was spotless and disturbingly quiet. I prefer a bit of noise - doors slamming, muffled conversations, maybe even the occasional argument next door. It helps me relax. Instead, I was trapped in a bubble of oppressive calm. Breakfast was served with a stunning view of the Guggenheim Museum, which was entirely too distracting. Naturally, this made it impossible to fully focus on the excellent food. The location was also far too convenient, with everything just a short walk away. I usually enjoy the challenge of navigating public transport, but here, even that simple pleasure was denied. And, to make it worse, my wife loved it. Now I have to live up to this standard every time we travel.

From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location is perfect, nestled in the heart of the Old Town, with charming streets. The room was cozy, clean and thoughtfully decorated. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Iturrienea Ostatua to anyone visiting Bilbao.

We loved our stay here. Everything in the hotel and room was amazing. Super friendly and patient staff, big and beautiful room, nice little town. The restaurant was unfortunately very empty but the quality of food is totally worth it and the family running it are very nice people. Would love to come back!
