The check in was done by a bald man who was the best. He welcomes us so nicely with a little joke, a big smile and lots of useful information. He asked what we liked and came with many many options. With all his recommendations we had an amazing holiday. The rooms are nice and clean, the rooftop bar has a great view and even more amazing espresso martinis.

We also appreciated the unique historical touch — the hotel is built over the ruins of the old Medina, and guests can visit the site to admire this fascinating piece of history.

Hotel Puerta del Mar is located in a quiet pedestrianised street next to the famous Balcón de Europa in Nerja, and just 100 metres from the beach. It has a rooftop saltwater pool and offers free WiFi throughout. The breakfast was really good, staff friendly and nice The room was exactly as in the pictures, beds were comfortable and new towels every day. The terrace are the best part, really nice small pool and a great view.
