The hotel’s common areas (lobby, restaurant, breakfast room) are superb and perfectly maintained. The rooftop pool offers a pleasant space with a lovely view. We also appreciated the unique historical touch — the hotel is built over the ruins of the old Medina, and guests can visit the site to admire this fascinating piece of history.

Hotel Puerta del Mar is located in a quiet pedestrianised street next to the famous Balcón de Europa in Nerja, and just 100 metres from the beach. It has a rooftop saltwater pool and offers free WiFi throughout. A lovely hotel in the heart of all the restaurants and bars. Staff were super helpful even gave us the location of free parking just a 10 minute walk away. Really recommend the hotel. Plus the breakfast was included which was an added bonus.
