Set 250 metres from Vejer’s San Salvador Church, El Cobijo de Vejer is a 19th-century Andalusian house with a courtyard. It was my second time at the Cobijo. Charming and magical. The personal care and kindness by Jesus and Mercedes make everything extra special. Wonderful breakfast and view of the old town.

First and foremost, we must highlight the excellent hotel staff, who were very friendly and helpful. We also greatly appreciated the tropical garden and the abundance of outdoor spaces where one can relax – the atmosphere truly reminded us of Bali or Zanzibar. This impression is enhanced by the restaurant’s design, which is stylish and harmoniously blends with the surroundings. The breakfast was excellent. Directly across the street is a beautiful sandy beach, and it’s just a short drive by car to the town of Tarifa. We felt really comfortable here and hope to return sometime in the future.

However, it depends a lot on which room you choose. I think it depends a lot on the room you choose. Economic Rooms face the road and are probably not a good choice. On the contrary, we chose the "Superior Twin Room with Terrace" and I definitely recommend it. The terrace had a beautiful view of a dense fig forest and behind it rose the peak of Mount Jebel Musa in Morocco, 20 km away. Everything was complemented by the soothing sounds of a small river flowing around the hotel. We did not hear any traffic noise from the road. They even provided us with a free locked garage for our motorcycle. Absolute satisfaction.

Hotel Spa Valentin Sancti Petri is located on La Barrossa beach, next to a golf course. Set within gardens, it features rooms with balconies or terraces, free Wi-Fi, 2 outdoor swimming pools and a... We liked everything about this place. Perfect location, beautiful sandy beach is just around the corner. The place was very big, clean, there were many stuff to do. Nice view from the balcony on the pool area. Staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with lots of variety. Every evening they organise a new show, for example flamenco, which we could watch from the cute outside bar. Good price for value, very highly recommended!
