It is super nicely decorated and very authentic. It breathes the age it has. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and beds are great. The shower could use an update though.

Hotel Maximilian’s is a historic hotel located in the heart of Augsburg, a 10-minute walk from the Fuggerei Museum. This 3-star hotel is in a quiet side street in the historic town centre of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It offers a friendly family-run atmosphere and traditional Franconian cuisine. Location was absolutely perfect, only 1 block from the main plaza. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was great, with extras like a fan, hair dryer, extra towels, good storage space, and plugs on each side of all beds. The beds were very comfortable! The breakfast buffet was the best that we have had in Germany! We will return!
