The Arenal Manoa Resort provided my family of four (two teens) with an amazing vacation experience. I'm always nervous about trip planning and I got this one right! The facilities were clean and fun with sloths and wildlife to see by just walking around or having breakfast. The breakfast buffet was vast and had great variety including healthy options so one doesn't have to feel gross because of a lack of choices. All of the meals were great, from pizza to sushi to fine dining. Yum! The staff were so kind and friendly, we felt well taken care of and the selection of hot spring pools top off the experience because we didn't feel crowded. This resort was well worth it. We will stay again.

This boutique hotel is located in La Fortuna area, close enough to the small center but still secluded enough to be private, with amazing views of the Arenal Volcano. We were in our Honeymoon, so we asked for a more private room and we got to experience a beautiful little cottage a bit far from the reception area, which was a delight. Room is small, but enough for a couple. The shower is designed to be semi-outdoor, so you can enjoy long baths surrounded by the forest. Bed is very comfortable and the nature sounds at night really make you feel like you are on a luxury camping experience. Even though the hotel is stunning, our experience was made even better because of the attentive staff. They make sure you always feel welcomed, without being too pushy. They all have a smile on their faces and you can feel the happy environment. We were also lucky enough to spot a sloth that was sleeping on a tree during our stay and the staff also makes sure you can spot different animals during your time there. The included breakfast was also delicious, there are various options so it doesn't get repetitive even in a long stay. Products are fresh, plating is set beautifully and it was one of the highlights of our trip. This was undeniably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed and I recommend it to anyone.

You can enjoy the mountain and garden views. The staff was super nice and the facilities are in great condition. Amir and the other staff helped us book the ATV Tour and it was amazing. When it comes to the rooms, we booked the one with a private jacuzzi. It was cozy and comfortable and the fact that they have complementary bug repellent available in the rooms is something we really appreciated.

Rooms at the Lost Iguana feature air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a furnished balcony. All rooms offer a safe, a coffee machine and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. This was a divine place to stay. The resort is split into several houses with rooms on ground level and first floor. The rooms on the first floor have high wooden ceilings. The AC is very good and silent. WIFI is also fine. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. You live on a hillside opposite to the volcano and have the volcano in full view. The view changes all the time due to the weather. You can spend hours on the balcony. This is proper rain forrest and it rains daily. Half the experience of living here is walking the hotel grounds either by day or in the evenings carrying a flashlight. There are all kinds of critters to see. There are many trails to explore. There are always hummingbirds buzzing around and toucans visit from time to time. After a week you will know the different birds by their calls. We visited in late august and can highly recommend coming in the rainy season. Everything is green and fresh and there are flowers everywhere. You also avoid the crowds. The hotel was only about 20% booked which gives the visit a very private and exclusive touch. The nearby Mistico park was also not overrun. The same goes for the volcano trails. You pay by credit card everywhere. You can let all tours and extra costs go to the room and just pay a total at the end of the stay. Just bring cash for tips. We came for nature experiences and didn't use the pool, bar or the spa. We can recommend the Caño Negro and the Coffee & Cocoa tours.

Breakfast was exceptional. We loved the heated pool and swim-up bar. Views were amazing and we appreciated the hiking trail. Wish we could’ve tried the yoga classes but it didn’t work out with our schedule. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Grateful for the dehumidifier in the room.

Rooms have views of the volcano and rainforest. beautiful property with a short trail to walk. lovely pools and jacuzzis. The food was incredible as we ordered to the room a few times. The have a hotel taxi which took us into La Fortuna for additional cost which was great as well. we booked tours through the front desk and had incredible experiences! I highly recommend the Sloth Tour, the Arenal Volcano hike and the Coffee and Chocolate tour. I really enjoyed listening to all the wildlife around in the mornings and evenings, it was beautiful!
