Alma Hotel enjoys a quiet location in a 19th-century building just 100 metres from Lake Zurich and near several tram and bus stops. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was spot on - clean, spacious and perfect for what we needed. We loved the location - close to the lake, the centre, the tramline, and with a couple of supermarkets close by. The roof terrace was a great bonus. Breakfasts were delicious and, particulary for the 2 of us who are vegan, offered plenty of choice. We also made use of the self catering facilities, which were great. We loved the extra touches too - free water and apples, welcome icecreams, and free coffee throughout the day. If we do come back to Zurich, without a doubt we will stay at Alma.

Set in a historic building from the 14th century, Boutique Hotel Helmhaus enjoys a central location close to the Grossmünster and Lake Zürich. Super practical location to explore the old town. Efficient and pleasant staff, comfortable and clean room, and a good breakfast with healthy options. Feels like a family-owned hotel. Our teenager was with us, and the daybed was comfortable and proper (which is always a challenge when traveling as 3 grown people), and the room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. We will certainly be coming back!
