It’s only a short walk to the train station. They also offered the Ticino Card, which made access to public transportation easy! The hotel is family run. Nikoli was very helpful with information about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location close to funicular ride to Monte Bre, ferry to Gandria, Paradiso and other places by the Lugano Lake, the beautiful Parco Ciani and Lugano Centro with a lot of excellent restaurants, shopping and cafe's. You can easily walk. If you prefer to take the bus its for free (Ticino Pass from the hotel) and taxi is not expensive in my opinion.

Our room was spacious and comfy and the balcony big enough to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich and delicious. Also here you could choose to eat inside or outside, on the lake shore, absolutely amazing! It is 5 min walk from the bus stop and in the city centre so walking distance to practically everything. The port is not even 50 m away. Would recommend it!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. It offers a park with a pool, free WiFi and a limited number of free parking spaces. Location is excellent - near station. Beautiful old villa.

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre.

Plunge into the wonderful swimming pool amidst a large park after a day of doing sightseeing or business in Lugano. We have stayed at many hotels throughout Europe, and the Continental Parkhotel was one of our favorites. It has a beautiful, quiet elegance to it, the rooms and views are lovely, quite a large bathroom & shower for Europe, which we loved! Spacious room & fantastic views. The free breakfast was extensive & delicious and the breakfast room was lovely, all glass with views of the lake and property. And the property itself is worth a stroll, plus don’t miss the evenings (or happy hours!) in the hotel bar/lounge (quite lovely) or the fantastic hotel restaurant. The food was amazing. I can’t say enough about the the hotel, but truly the staff shined the brightest down to each & every one we came into contact with, from Immanuela & Roberta at the Fri t desk that assisted with special requests, to the two bartenders, breakfast room & restaurant staff, housekeeping, everyone is so welcoming. I cannot wait to return & would highly recommend!!!!

All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. Coffee and tea facilities are offered for free. Great localization in the center of the city, close to train station, lake across the street. The room was small, but clean and had all the advertised features, especially air conditioning and lake view. Breakfast had modest selection, but was good and should be good enough for most people.
