Completely renovated in 2017, the historic and prestigious The Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix, Geneva is located in the heart of the city, on the shore of Lake Geneva. Geneva's old town and the main city attractions are only a 5-minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were there to celebrate my 60th birthday and retirement. From welcoming to the room decorations to the celebration in the restaurants the staff were very thoughtful. Everything was amazing! The concierge and the front desk staff were super helpful in helping us with our daily arrangements. One of the concierge, Matteus and a front desk staff, Nassim went out the way to arrange a special cake and a thoughtful gift for me. The stay was very memorable.

The modern, individually furnished rooms feature a flat-screen TV, wooden floors, and a bathroom. Everything was great. My own fault for not noticing that the trams run right outside and they start early morning so I didn’t get much sleep. Perhaps ask for a room at the back next time!

Lake Geneva is only 250 metres away. I stayed for one night at the hostel. It is conveniently located near the quayside. The breakfast was diverse and catered to all tastes. The toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. The storage box provided was spacious enough to accommodate a suitcase.
