Everything! It was very clean, bed very comfortable, the room even had a balcony and I was lucky to have an extremely quiet room, which I did not expect due to great location in the middle of the city.

Reception staff made us a cappuccino on arrival as we were early for check in. Staff were excellent. Young lady at reception made us a cappuccino one night when sitting at a front table. So thoughtful very friendly. Very clean room.

Amazing experience. I stayed here for three nights in a room for six. Hostel, surprisingly a large building, is located in old and peaceful part of Basel. It's within short walking distance to Rhein river, Munster cathedral and Kunstmuseum tram station. I was given Basel Card at the reception which granted me free access to public transport and 50% discount to all museums. I really liked my room and my bed and I didn't mind the fact there were no curtains. Design of the room is really smart, as personal lockers and sink are separated from the beds/sleeping area with a wooden doors, thus keeping the noise at minimum. To add up, no check-ins are possible after 23:30 which allows you to sleep tight. Toilets and washrooms are on the same floor, just outside of the room in the hall. Breakfast starts at 6.00 am which I found really handy as I checked out early for my flight. Staff was really professional. You can also buy souvenirs at the reception and umbrella as well. I will definitely book again when I come back to Basel. Thank you, Hostel!

It was a very satisfying stay for us. Right from the check-in, everything was perfect here. Special mention about Katie at the reception who was very courteous, helpful and friendly, and also got our room ready well ahead of our check-in time. The best value for money option in Basel, with amazing access to public transport, museums and all the hotspots (it's right opposite Basel Bad station and the tram stop for tram lines 2 & 6 that take you to the centre and beyond). The room was chic, big, convenient, had a nespresso machine, a lovely bath and a balcony overlooking the train station. The lobby also played 90s rock music 24/7, which I loved. There's no staff post 3 pm at the front desk, but it was safe going in and out with the access card. Overall, a perfect stay in the lovely city of Basel. I would definitely go back.
