Pousada Portas da Amazônia was a very charming place to stay, perfectly located for a visit to the historic center of São Luís. The building was full of historic character, with a lovely courtyard for breakfast. The air conditioning and bathroom facilities worked well, and everything was clean. The staff was helpful with booking a last-minute transfer to Barreirinhas and also offers bookings with tour agencies in Lençóis Maranhenses national park.

Located between Lagoa da Jansen and Baía de São Marcos, Stop Way Hotel São Luís offers modern apartments located in a prime area of the city. Wi-Fi is free in public areas and apartments. Excellent value for money, the area is super nice and safe and has easy access to the historic center by car.
