Very lovely place, rooms are very clean and beds are so comfortable. Nicely heated in winter. Rooms are good size. Regretting just booking 1 night in Salzburg, shld have stayed for 2 nights instead. Breakfast is also good with fairly wide selections.

The staff, including the cleaning staff, were really friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfast buffet had lots of options, sweet and savory and vegan. The beds were comfortable. There is also and indoor pool which is perfect in case of bad weather and you would just like to have a slow day. The room and building are well maintained. Plenty of space on the private parking. The location is nearby Salzburg and Königssee which is perfect if you want to do some sightseeing/activities.

Hotel Gerl – urban soul meets alpine vibes Just two minutes from the A1 and 15 minutes from Salzburg city centre lies the 4-star Hotel Gerl in Wals – quietly located but easily accessible. The facilities are great. The rooms are big. The view is nice and the room design is really beautiful.

The proprietors are wonderful - very friendly, charming and helpful. Rooms are clean and well maintained. There is an elevator, which is not always the case for small hotels and B&Bs. Right next to.a bus stop for convenient travel. We didn't have a chance to use the sauna - next time!
