Spacious, clean, friendly, lovely grounds and pets. Areas to relax in and felt welcoming. TV channels was a lovely break for the kids. . Local restaurant menu was a bonus as food was fab. Self catered and had loads of dishes, mugs etc.

The owner Isabel was really nice helping and advising. She even packed us breakfast when we had to leave early at the morning. The accomodation was perfect!

I stayed outside Kruger at Hazyview. I was so happy with my decision. Margrit prepares fabulous breakfasts or packed breakfast if you are off on safari ( which I did) this is perfect location for self drive to Kruger as it is only 10 minutiae's to the Phabeni Gate. I was so p,eased to stay outside the park so that I was able to explore the 3 Rondanelles and some beautiful scenery in the mountains nearby. There is also a great bush bar and some restaurants just 5 minutes away. The whole experience was positive despite my initial reservations of self driving. I flew Cape Town to Kruger ( Nespruit) and hired a car . The drive to Abangane Guest house is about 45 minutes from the airport. A small Renault with good clearance did the job.

Phil and Margie are lovely hosts. We came back for the second time and experienced the same level of comfort (10 out of 10). The rooms were always clean and well prepared. The breakfast was perfect. We got some good information about Kruger and the Panorama Route. So we recommend The Blue Jay Lodge to anyone.
