Good soundproofing (we could only hear the sounds through the room door) Versatile breakfast, enough (simple) vegan options Nearly no birdman (the man/woman with the wild predator bird hanging around), only a glimpse seen (bird exploitation sucks) Enjoyable design of the hotel, live music at the bar, game room with chess tables Each guest has their own key card Recycling bin Good location Price to quality ratio is superb

We loved everything about this property. I searched for weeks trying to find not just a nice place to stay, but now that also offered peaceful surroundings. We found it at ARTS. The property is located in a residential area of Funchal with private homes. If you're going to the center of town, you may walk (10 minutes, easy, all downhill), or take the bus (about 8 minutes - leaves you practically in front of the hotel). We never used our rental car while in Funchal. The gardens are lush and tropical, and also beautifully maintained and very clean. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a mix of elegant antique furniture and crisp modern touches and architectural details. Breakfast is offered in a gorgeous interior dining area, or outside in the patio, with views of Funchal harbor, city, and the ocean. The parking area is covered and ample. The hotel is very pet-friendly - our little Django loved it. We stayed here twice. The first room was very large, the bedding (pillows and mattress) was comfortable, and it was very clean. A comfortable bed is a must for us! The rooms are soundproof - It was always very quiet and we never heard any of the other guests - ever. The bathroom and kitchen were both large, and everything was very clean. On our return to Funchal at the end of our trip, we stayed at this property for a second time and upgraded to one of the suites. WOW! If you can splurge, it's worth it. It made our stay even more special. It's a small apartment. With all of the above, but a spectacular terrace, high ceilings, an even bigger bathroom with double sinks a walk-in shower, and an even bigger kitchen. And again... everything was spotless. But the crown jewel is the staff - fantastic, all of them. They made us and Django feel right at home. If you are traveling to Funchal, look no further. This property is PERFECT.

Perfect location, great breakfast with a lot of choices. Across the street is bus stop, in next building is car parking. Nearby a lot of good restaurants. Amazing value for money.

I loved the breakfast. It was excellent. Sea view from the swimming Pool was wonderful. Good Gym and relaxing Jacuzzi.

Great location and we really enjoyed the sea water pools and the elevator down to the sea. The family room was very spacious and comfortable.

It was an amazing stay - very friendly staff, I had a little dental emergency and they got me an appointment right away. Big buffet for breakfast, good quality. Nice cocktails in the bar, there was also always entertainment in the evening which was nice. Clean, room was nice and big. Easy parking, good location, close to the center (but a bit uphill on the way back)

Everything is fantastic! The view, the houses, the land, the pool that was heated and was working nonstop. The apartment was equipped with everything you could ever need, the beds were comfortable, we even had our own terrace with an ocean view. Superb! I would for sure come again!
