All the staff were lovely. Amazing breakfast on rooftop. The hotel's driver Fernando who took us to the Beach Club was excellent. Clean rooms. Use of the Spa Sauna/Gym with robes provided on request. Use of the rooftop pool. Close to shops, Old Town, restaurants. Enjoyed the stay.

This is a fantastic ex-palace. The reception and main rooms are exquisite. You can use any of the main rooms any time, although the chairs being in keeping with the period are not that comfortable LOL. Great ambience. Excellent pool (getting a pool towel on the other hand more of a challenge!). Basic gym. Outstanding breakfast. Easy parking. Excellent staff. We loved our stay here (we stayed in a superior view room on the 2nd floor, with a terrace looking down to Faro (and a lot of grass). Yes, the building is VERY OLD which means that in a few places the paint is peeling etc. There was also some refurbishment work done in the reception (old chapel ) while we were there. This did nothing to detract from my enjoyment but if you worry about that sort of thing, don't stay.

To give this hotel less than a 10 would be unworthy! We had an excellent one bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms; very spacious and with an amazing view of the marina and Ria Formosa. Within easy walking distance to the Mercado, centre, shops and restaurants, even for seniors like us. Very friendly staff. Only 20 minutes from Faro airport.

We stayed for a night, 2 adults and 2 kids. We had an interconnecting room which was great..we had an.early flight and we were so grateful that they accommodated an early check in. We enjoyed the pool and didn't have a problem getting a sunbed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Great hotel and would certainly return. Highly recommended.
