This was the best stay I have ever had in Irakleio. From the moment we entered, we were warmly greeted by a charming gentleman, informing us on all the details. When we got into our room, I was amazed that we had paid so little for so much. Beautifully decorated, clean, perfect matress and pillows. Our friends had a room next to us, which was different, and equally beautiful. In the evening we walked to the centre which was so close. The breakfast was superb! Highly recommended. On the 5th floor there is also a roof garden, also well designed where I could enjoy my cigarette, with a fabulous view. I wish I could have stayed and slept there for much much longer! I rested well in the large comfortable bed. Well done to Kastro. You are brilliant!!!!! Thank you!!!!

Extremely well located hotel with a rooftop restaurant offering a varied menu, a magnificent view of the old port and succulent dishes. Rooms with a sea view actually have a view so beautiful that photos can't do it justice. Staff very welcoming, attentive, nice and responsive at all times. Highly recommendable, the hotel is well equipped and lacks nothing, and the staff are just like all the Cretans we met: as friendly as possible.

This well-known Capsis Astoria Heraklion is located next to the Archaeological Museum.

We had a wonderful stay at the Astoria Capsis Hotel in Heraklion. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the city centre—making it easy to explore Heraklion on foot and access everything we needed during our trip. One of the highlights for us was how pet-friendly the hotel is. Our furry family member was not only welcomed but even received special amenities from the staff, which we really appreciated. The overall warmth and hospitality of the team left a lasting impression on us. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast selection. It would be lovely to see more traditional Cretan options included. Overall, our experience was truly enjoyable, and we’d definitely recommend the hotel—especially for anyone traveling with pets or looking for a warm, personalized stay in the heart of Heraklion.
