We only came to Manchester for two nights to see the world's best darts players at the AO Arena. The hotel is in a great location with many great bars, restaurants and stores. We really enjoyed our three day stay in Manchester (HolidayInn Express) and highly recommend the hotel.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. It must have been a busy weekend for them with several events on in the city but they were always happy to not just help, but also chat. Brought scissors to the room when I needed to cut some tags off clothes, happily fixed our key cards for us, etc. Just brilliant. Room was comfy and clean, and bathroom was lovely. Desk with lamp and TV were a nice touch. Floor to ceiling window with loads of natural light and all the amenities you could need - kettle, tea and coffee, iron, etc. Thought it was great value for the location and the level of comfort. Didn't use the gym or restaurant and didn't get breakfast so can't comment on that.
