Boutique Hotels in Oban

We had a most fabulous stay at Aspen Lodge in Oban with spectacular mountain scenery from our balcony. Carol was a most wonderful host whom my son had a wonderful time chatting with her about whisky as she used to work in Oban Distillery. She gave him a lot of tips about whisky and also talked about her family who were also in the whisky business. There are 2 ways of getting to Aspen Lodge - one via the rolling hills with animals and highland cows roaming freely and the other route was via a golf club., Our GPS took us via the rolling hills route and at one stage we seemed to getting away farther and farther so panicked and turned back. Luckily, we met a lady along the way who came across Aspen Lodge signage and told us to go back the way we went and assured us it was the right track. Once we reached Aspen Lodge, our breath was taken away by the magnificent room decor and gorgeous mountain scenery. We had a balcony and it was so relaxing to sit outside and admire and enjoy the scenery. My son even did his stretching exercises on the balcony. One morning, we had breakfast on the terrace just to soak in the view. The decor is very classy and tastefully furnished with an amazing bathroom. Loved Carol's speedy response to our queries on many things even before we arrived and she is so knowledgeable and able to make suggestions and recommendations. She sure knows how to look after her guests well and make them feel at home. Her awesome hospitality is second to none. We left behind a bag of clothes and Carol quickly messaged us and luckily, we were still in Oban, so went back to collect.

It’s a very nice and cozy house, just 3 minutes from the city center. The room is very comfortable and clean. The host is kind. There is a breakfast package already stored in the room’s fridge

Surprised on how upscale the Hotel is. Our room was modern with an incredible view of the river and the city. A very friendly and helpful staff. Had several meals in the restaurant which were excellent. A great central location for exploring the city.

Everything about our stay was incredible. The owner Karen has clearly poured time and love into this property. We loved the custom, self-service bar, the made-to-order breakfast, the cozy living room with the fireplace and the entire staff.
