Breakfast is amazing, with a-la-carte eggs, and buffet with yogurt parfaits, breads, and other snacks. Beautiful dining room. On-site parking is an authentic local experience, but much appreciated. Staff were really wonderful and helpful. After-hours check in was flawless.

The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.

The accommodation was pretty well located; a wonderful Victorian house, perfectly maintained, with nice interior decoration. The heating system was adjusted at the right point, all the time.
