The staff are lovely and very helpful, the host gave us a map and explained where all the points of interests and best restaurants are. Breakfast perfect and plenty of choice. Beach very close, town quite a walk but nice if you take the tunnel route.

The cleanliness of the room was outstanding (the best I have ever experienced, anywhere) and it was also cleaned daily to the same really high standard. It had everything we needed and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and we were literally looked after as if we were in a 5* hotel. The bed was also extremely comfortable and having the mini fridge and tea making facility was a real bonus for us. It was a pleasure to come 'home' at the end of the day and be cocooned in comfort before setting off again in the morning. We would definitely like to return and explore the area further, such a beautiful part of the world. Also, being able to park outside made everything very easy and convenient, especially as my husband couldn't walk too far. Thank you for your genuine care and attention to our needs, it has been a real pleasure and a bonus to have met you.

We had a big lovely clean room with all the amenities. There was a humidifying fan which was great for the heat. The stay were lovely and informative even more so with the language barrier but we still had loverly conversations. Definitely likely to stay again as close and easy access to the ferry at Santander.

Staying at Los Guardeses was an extraordinary experience. It is located in Solares, in a reformed, former marquess house. Although it is surrounded by modern buildings, the garden with abundant plants maintains it's unique atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly, and shared the history of Los Guardeses. The room was very clean and had all equipment from the description. I was happy to find a good quality hairdryer. The beds were comfortable with two, long pillows for each person. Breakfast was tasteful with variety of products. To sum up, I strongly recommend this place.
