Check-in set the tone: reception was professional and genuinely warm. The lobby is beautiful, with a cinematic theme that nods to the building’s past. Classic movie-star photos and even a “red carpet” down the stairs. Our room was spacious and spotless; each room is dedicated to a film star (ours was Kirk Douglas), and the mattress was very comfortable. Breakfast was rich and varied with lovely service. Tasty options and made-to-order omelets. In the evenings, the dining room turns into a restaurant, which is convenient because there aren’t many dining options in the area at night. The underground paid parking is very handy (best to reserve in advance).

Located in a quiet residential area close to the beach. It’s a lovely walk on the beach or the promenade to the Old Town. Reception staff were very helpful and the bar staff were lovely. Bar is very reasonably priced for drinks, we didn’t eat in the restaurant.
