This is an absolutely fabulous hotel to stay in, set in an enchanting castle, with a very romantic location on the banks of the rivers Danube and Inn, beautiful rooms, great ambience, but, most importantly of all, the most wonderful staff who treat you as if you are one of their family. As soon as you push open the big wooden door into SchloB Ort you walk into a beautiful oasis of calm, with the wonderful smell of lemongrass and a welcome so friendly that you immediately know you have made an excellent choice for a relaxing weekend. I was met by the adorable Severin, who attentively looked after me for my entire stay with charm and humour and made my stay an absolute delight. He also gave me the most brilliant Sports Leg Massage which made me feel like a new person. I then met the wonderful Alexandra, the hotel owner who was so lovely, friendly and welcoming that you feel you have made a new friend for life. It is very rare to feel so at home and to be treated with such genuine affection in a place that you are staying and I hope that I get to stay again in this very special hotel sometime soon. The decor in the hotel is beautiful, relaxing and very homely. The sheepskins and rugs provided enable you to sit out on the spectacular terrace in all weathers and I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing breakfast, with lots of choice of delicious fresh food, in the rain. I also had a wonderful evening drinking Prosecco on the terrace at night looking at the wonderful views across the river. The hotel has a well stocked honesty bar which ensures that you can enjoy the view with great German beer or excellent wine. A free welcome glass of Prosecco was a lovely touch. My Junior Suite with River View was huge with beautiful decor, a separate living room and a lovely bathroom. The view from my window was spectacular and the large bed extremely comfortable. I had the most wonderfully relaxing weekend stay here. If you are coming to Passau you must stay here, it is fantastic.

The staff were excellent, as was the breakfast. Good parking and comfy beds. Located within easy walking distance of the old town
