Having gained independence in 1991 following the breakup of the Soviet Union, Uzbekistan is a young country. But the roots of this vast land are ancient.
For centuries, this area of land was a major crossroads along the Silk Road – an age-old trading route that stretched all the way from China to the Mediterranean. Samarkand, one of three major cities dotted along the road, contains so many architectural feats from this period that it has been classed entirely as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See for yourself at the Registan, a wide plaza bordered by three mosaic-covered madrassas (religious schools) with bright turquoise domes. To the west, Bukhara offers similarly impressive landmarks, including the ruins of a 5th-century royal compound known as the Ark, while the walled city of Khiva further north is the most remote but best-preserved of the Silk Road cities. Here you’ll find stunning mosques, mausoleums and palaces towering over a labyrinth of streets. But there’s more to Uzbekistan than ancient history. Tashkent, the urban capital in the eastern region, is refreshingly cosmopolitan, while in the far north you can visit the Aral Sea – formerly one of the world’s largest lakes now on the verge of disappearing completely.
Hotels and guesthouses are aplenty in the capital, as well as in the Silk Road cities. Accommodation is quite limited elsewhere.

Location is perfect, on quiet street but just a few steps by walking to all the places and restaurants. The Google shown us longer route everyday, before we left, we realize the short way, however on Google it's a deadend road. We should have asked the staff. Variety of breakfast, but if make some changes each day would be perfect. Room is spacious, could consider to sofa to make it more comfortable. There is sitting area outside room but could be too could I beginning Of November. The house itself was very beautiful. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. We love the stay.

This was the most expensive hotel of our Uzbekistan trip, but it was worth every penny. Though rated 4 stars, it easily matches – and even exceeds – 5-star standards. Opened in April 2024, the hotel is brand new and impeccably managed by a highly professional team.
From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with care to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. We were warmly welcomed, with staff assisting promptly with luggage and check-in. Every team member – from reception to housekeeping – was exceptionally polite, friendly, and eager to assist.
Our room was a perfect blend of cleanliness, spaciousness, and modern design, with charming Uzbek touches. It came fully equipped with all essentials and delightful extras, such as an aroma diffuser, which added a special touch. Overlooking a serene courtyard with a pool, the room was peaceful, and the beds were extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delicious mix of traditional Uzbek dishes and classic continental options. The variety and quality were outstanding.
The spa was cosy and relaxing, with a hammam, Finnish sauna, and a small pool. Although we didn’t use it, there’s also a fitness centre available.
The hotel’s location was excellent, serving as a convenient base for exploring the area.

2. Equipment: a lot of useful stuff is in the room like TV, cosmetics in bathroom (even toothbrush), hair dryer, fridge, tea kettle with tea and glasses. Due to couch and chairs you can comfortable sit.
