Everything was amazing. We received an exceptional welcome, the food was healthy and delicious, and we got all the assistance we needed for touring. My kids loved the lodge and all the activities they experienced, including cruising on Lake Kivu, swimming, enjoying the fishermen experience, and of course, playing cards. We had an unforgettable time. The owners, Aicha and Ivan, are incredibly kind and caring. It was a wonderful vacation. Umurobyi is a peaceful and quiet place - with a great view, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

The location is great. The staff is very helpful & polite; they would go extra miles to assist you. Even the owner created a personal touch she arranged for us outdoor bonfire under the stars & forest surrounding that all of us throughly enjoyed. The situation is magical, could not have been better! The cosy wooden, very quiet and bright cottage provides you with the best views over Kivu lake. Outdoor shower is great. Owner Philippe is a truly kind and warm person. Whole staff is smiling and does its best to satisfy you in a simple but very professionnal way like the manager Éric. Food options are simply delicicious and healthy. Activities offered are various (island hopping, community sharing...) and very reasonably priced. Wish Philippe and his team a deserved success story!
