Benefiting from an easily walkable city centre, you can take in main sights such as its scenic riverside promenade and beach. The country’s biggest Carnaval celebration takes place here in January and February, and the nearby Jesuit missions of Trinidad and Jesús can be found just under 30 km away.
The northwest of Paraguay is home to the wild plains of Gran Chaco, divided into the palm savannas of the Humid Chaco and the spiky forest of the Dry Chaco. It’s a superb place to spot wildlife, such as jaguars, howler monkeys and birds of prey.

The antique decor and history of the building was fascinating. The staff were very helpful and the complementary breakfast was amazing. We felt like we had gone back in time and were the main character in a movie! It is a must if you are in Asuncion!

Hotel is extremely beautiful and stylish. Rooms are large and there is coffee making facilities. Curtains are thick and room is dark at nights. Excellent tv with many international news, sport and movie channels. Hotel is centrally located along the main shopping street. When I was there street was blocked from cars and hence hotel was peaceful. Breakfast was more than excellent. Hotel's cafe, where the breakfast is served, and restaurant are gorgeous. Personal was very helpful. At hotel there is also small gym and sunbeds on the roof terrace.

Norma and Blanca went above and beyond to be helpful about what to do in town or to meet any needs. A pleasure to meet them. Norma offers her house and garden (with pool) for guests in a prime area of Asunción.
