Featuring an extensive garden, a sun terrace with swimming pool, spa treatments and free Wi-Fi throughout, this hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from the Arenal Volcano National Park and from La Fortuna... The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)

Very good location, great breakfast with fresh fruits and delicious juice, accommodating staff, coffee and tea available at any time, and the best of all, free access to thermal baths that are absolutely fantastic. Would super much recommend to everyone.

The location and facilities were great! It is a short walk to the main areas with tons of restaurants/bars and has a great view of the volcano with a little patio for a morning coffee. The owners were extremely friendly & we even went on a little nature walk around the property to see some frogs which was awesome. Pool was nice after a long day of adventuring as well.

Discover the charm of Hotel Secreto La Fortuna, a quiet retreat in the heart of Fortuna, Costa Rica. Probably the best choice of a hotel in La Fortuna town - spotlessly clean room, incredibly friendly staff, amazing garden and of course, the volcano view. 5 min walk to all restaurants, sodas ans shops in La Fortuna. There is a resident 🦥 and we had numerous sitings of iguanas and birds.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a garden, Hotel El Jardin is located in Montezuma town centre and less than 100 meters from the beach. WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge. El Jardin is probably the best hotel in Montezuma. The location is near restaurants and the beach, it has a gorgeous view towards the Ocean and two pools. The staff is exceptional. They were very helpful and kind. The coffee they offer at the reception is amazing.
