The property is beautiful and the family that runs the lodge is amazing. I am so glad I stayed here. The accommodations are simple and one with nature. This is the type of place you stay when you are interested in a quiet hideaway that prioritizes nature, friendliness, great food, and Costa Rican hospitality. Giovanni is so helpful and warm, his family too, and they have opened up their life to share with travellers and do everything possible to ensure you have a fun trip. He even watches for flat tires and after spying the culprit, a screw, grabbed the air compressor so I could make my way to the station for a repair. Absolutely the best host I have ever stayed with. And the animals!! Extra bonus- it's a slice of heaven spying what is hanging around in the trees and ponds while eating a big breakfast. Additionally he can guide you to less touristy areas that are better than the hotel tours and much cheaper. I can hardly wait to return!

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of incredible. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the wildlife was truly special — we even had a sloth named Lola living in the tree next to our balcony! Toucans and other birds dropped by throughout the day. The infinity pool is another highlight, offering a peaceful retreat where we could relax and watch the stunning sunsets each evening.
What truly made our experience exceptional, however, was George. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us with warmth and made us feel at home. Throughout our stay, he was always available to provide local insights, offer recommendations, and ensure we had everything we needed. George was a constant source of knowledge and assistance on just about anything we asked about. He is truly the heartbeat of this hotel, and his hospitality made all the difference. We can’t thank him enough for making our stay even more memorable.

Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!

I particularly liked the location and the uniqueness of this accommodation. It is very modern and very clean and the terrace provides great views of the countryside. The remoteness gave privacy but you will need transport to get there and about. There is a restaurant within walking distance that provides food and entertainment. The staff are very friendly and informative and gave great advice and i wish this new venture every success in the future.
